Tammy Brannen, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I have over 25 years of experience working with all ages from young children, adolescents, and older adults. I enjoy supporting people through life’s most difficult moments and have extensive experience with grief and loss, serious illness, end-of-life, caregiving, and compassion fatigue for professionals. My approach is centered around a strong client/therapist relationship. I believe in the importance of a compassionate presence to encourage and support you through the healing process. I also trust that each of us has the innate wisdom to develop the resources needed to for healing and a greater sense of peace. My life and work are grounded in gratitude and a genuine appreciation for life and our human ability to find strength and resilience. I believe that when we offer healing to ourselves we also offer that healing to the world and all the lives we touch. At our deepest level, we are all doing our best to integrate and adapt to our life experiences.

Chanda Elkins, MSW, SWC
Social Worker
I am a career change Social Worker having completed the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work program. My focus is working with all ages that have found themselves either struggling or just need someone to truly hear them. I have a vast knowledge of PTSD, anxiety, serious illness, medical trauma, grief, and depression. Through my life experience as an Army Veteran and mother to a childhood cancer survivor, I can bring an insight to our session that provides a unique level of empathy. I have taken extra training to be able to provide EMDR to all ages to help release the pressures of the trauma that has become stuck in our nervous system. I work with children in a play therapy setting where they can be free to be themselves and express themselves through play, sand tray, art, or even in an aquatic setting. Children are often mistaken in the medical world as little adults when this is far from the truth. Instead, they are children dealing with adult situations. My hope is to provide a safe, fun, and unique environment for all children whether they are going through medical diagnosis or have anxiety because of our world’s current environment. What you can expect from a session with me is that it will be tailored to your needs or your child’s needs. I bring in mindfulness practices, replacing negative thoughts with more positive or helpful insights (CBT), EMDR, grief counseling, and overall supportive therapy, you will leave feeling grounded. Working with kids I like to bring in out-of-the-box thinking and have been working in partnership with TheraSWIM to provide collaborative treatment with aquatic occupational and physical therapists. I have found that when children are in the water, they can process their trauma in a more relaxed environment. Water becomes the natural containment unit helping children work through their stuck points. I am here to help, support and show appreciation for your willingness to allow me to be part of your life’s journey. It is my privilege and honor that you will entrust me with your most intimate life experiences.

The therapeutic relationship is a sacred trust, and telling your story in a safe place is a profound transformational tool - I am honored to journey with you. In addition to this practice, I am a faculty member in the School of Social Work at Colorado State University.
