Creative Therapies for Children
Supporting Emotional Growth Through Play, Art, and Imagination
Children often express thoughts and emotions through play, creativity, and movement rather than words. Creative therapies offer developmentally appropriate ways for children to process feelings, build resilience, and navigate life’s challenges in a safe, supportive environment.
We offer a range of evidence-informed approaches tailored to meet your child where they are, including play therapy, sand tray therapy, and art therapy.

Play Therapy
Play therapy creates a safe and nurturing space where children can express themselves through toys, games, role play, and storytelling. Through play, children process experiences, build emotional regulation, and develop problem-solving skills in a way that feels natural and empowering.

Sand Tray Therapy
Sand Tray Therapy allows children to use miniature figures and symbols to create scenes in a tray of sand, giving form to feelings and experiences they may not yet have words for. This gentle, nonverbal approach supports exploration of inner thoughts and emotions while promoting healing, insight, and emotional growth.

Art Therapy
Art Therapy allows children to express feelings through drawing, painting, and creative projects. Creative expression becomes a safe outlet for externalizing difficult emotions, reducing anxiety, and building confidence in a supportive therapeutic setting.
Each of these creative therapies is grounded in a respectful, relationship-based approach that honors the unique strengths and needs of your child. Whether they’re dealing with anxiety, grief, trauma, medical challenges, or behavioral concerns, we’re here to help them feel safe, seen, and supported as they grow and heal—one creative step at a time
